Transocean Secures $222 Million Ultra-Deepwater Drillship Contract in Offshore India

Transocean Ltd. has recently announced that the Dhirubhai Deepwater KG1, a drillship operating offshore India, has been granted a binding Notification of Award by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. The 21-month program is anticipated to initiate in the first quarter of 2024. This endeavor is projected to contribute significantly, adding approximately $222 million to the backlog, excluding a mobilization fee of $5 million.
