Normal range: minimum to +10%. If collars exceed the max OD shown for a connection, increase the minimum by +10% and machine a fishing neck to the max OD.
Basis: API zinc thread compound (40–60% metal), modified screw-jack formula per API RP 7G; σ=62,500 psi in weaker member (pin/box). Some groups (e.g., H‑90) use different stress basis in DRILCO.
Dagger “†” means the box is the weaker member; otherwise the pin. “Connections with low torque faces” have their own table.
